Very early this morning, a very old friend from school posted a question on his wall: Is it just me, or has everybody become a conspiracy theorist?

Interesting this all happened this morning, 19th December – on this Full Moon in Gemini (that corresponds to facts and communication), which is also the day that Venus (in Capricorn) has begun her retrograde period for the next 6 weeks. When a planet goes retrograde, this simply means that it’s going backwards (and this time it will also be passing Pluto, planet of destruction and transformation on Christmas Day (!) – and then again on March 3rd after it stations and goes direct again on Jan 29th).

Venus conjunct Pluto …pheeew! – this is a topic unto itself – so let’s just talk about Venus Retrograde for now, because this is going to be a very important energy presiding over us until the end of January.

From a psychological perspective (because the planets are simply archetypal energies that we all carry within us and which make us human) – when a planet is going backwards, this means the particular quality and energy of that planet goes inwards. We go inwards. We have no choice BUT to go inwards. Circumstances will mean we’ll be required to really sink below the surface and deeply reflect on all matters pertaining to Venus: our personal values, our possessions, our money, wealth, and the way we relate and connect to ourselves and others.

What will come about that will bring to us the necessity of such deep inner work? This will of course depend on our own personal charts and psyches; our personal karma, and lessons and path of evolution thus far…

But what we do have here is a steady foot to tread with

Capricorn is persistent, tenacious, hardworking, resilient, goal-oriented, patient, organized, reliable; has integrity, and self-respect. Capricorn also rules authority, big business, government, control, status, structure, rules, regulations.

When in its shadow, however, Capricorn is dogmatic, a bully; there’s an element of patriarchal totalitarianism about it. Capricorn is a cardinal sign. Capricorn is a leader. So, here’s a BIG opportunity, now, for all of us to really put in the hard yard – and allow ourselves to expand, and to grow. And since Pluto is involved – a huge collective energy governing total destruction and transformation – then, believe you me, we’re going to be given this opportunity – bloody like it or not.

Although, of course, we are always in choice

We always have free will as to which path we ultimately choose to walk down. Do we stay in the Matrix or do we create a new reality? Are we willing to make a shift in our energy? In our perspectives? A shift of our inner worlds which will ultimately affect our outer?

Which one, at the end of the day, will you wind up choosing – the blue pill or the red?

It all boils down to this very one question: What, exactly, do we value? (Venus) Can we find our own inner authority (Capricorn) on this? Venus is a personal planet, and in this very introspective phase, there’s a real opportunity to dive in deep and really ask ourselves: What FEELS (Venus) true and good for us? Where can we create (Venus) a completely new structure (Capricorn) that feels aligned with harmony, nature and beauty (Venus)? Can we find the courage to take full responsibility (Capricorn) for our lives, instead of handing over all our power and control (Capricorn) to others who apparently have our best interests at heart?

It’s no coincidence that the past two years have seen the entire globe being forced to wear masks, when the only real importance that needs to come out of this is that we all learn to drop the own masks we have been conditioned to wear in order (for one reason amongst others) to maintain societal approval (Capricorn) … and instead, learn to know, love and values ourselves deeply (Venus)

I was listening to a session I received from someone in 2019, as my ego and illusory identity was desperately fighting for its own survival.

He said: You need to find your tribe now, Karen. The time for being the ‘magazine’, the ‘surface you’ is gone. It’s time to get real. Time to bring out the Witch. The Wild One. The Messy One. The One Who Doesn’t Give A Fuck About External Approval (<- a very patriarchal, Capricornian concept).

Complete authenticity is absolutely key now

Completely authenticity is absolutely key now. This – and no less – is what we are worthy of (<- self-worth and worthiness – a very Venusian concept!).Over these next few weeks, we’re going to get the chance to unlearn – or at least, start to unpack – everything we’ve been taught by powers and institutions over the entirety of our lives… and to focus instead on our own inner worlds.

Who are we? What do we know? What do we feel … deep down inside?

Perhaps cracks of light will appear to pierce the illusions we’ve been fed; those illusions we’ve been brainwashed, hypnotized and led a merry dance by.

Because, you know, those things we’ve been told – and told again and again – are not… at all… as they seem to be.And there is, conversely, a new way of being… …Which can – and which ultimately WILL – be birthed…

And I wonder what the outcome will be.
