Well, talk about a cauldron of change. I mean, call it what you like, really (last week, I was referring to it as a ‘cocoon’), but yes – I’m talking about this just-over-2-week stewing pot we’ve all been bobbling and bubbling about in between our Lunar Eclipse of 26^th May, and the impending (who said ‘looming’?) Solar Eclipse we’ve got coming up this Thursday 10^th June…

…in airy, Mercurial Gemini…

I mean, here we’ve all been, eh? All together as One Human Family (masquerading as separate characters in our same-same-but-different-pots) … all stirring up the sediment that’s been stagnating in our psyches for –

Long

In these past two weeks, we’ve taken a trip down to the most cavernous depths of our psychological cellars; and had the opportunity to rummage down in the darkest realms of our most-forgotten, abandoned closets … to allow all of it – all of it – to come up…

…and up …

…to see the light shine bold upon our shyest, yet sharpest, creases. 

Well. If we’ve been willing to actually look at them, that is.

But, here’s the thing. Why wouldn’t we have jumped straight down into the well, anyway? As we know from the ancient Emerald Tablet, one of the big secrets of the Universe is

Where have each of you been?

As painful and frankly barbaric as it might have felt (although personally, I’ve always felt quite drawn to the kick from the sting of barbed wire), this particular type of ‘cocoon’ doesn’t come around often – especially not the way it’s come for us this time. 

Because, instead of the usual way of starting each lunar cycle with a New Moon – to seed intentions and then grow them to fruition two weeks later for Full Moon – we’ve actually been hit first by the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse – which has, in its usual style, brought forth all our deepest emotions and energies to reach their absolute peak…

…and, after the last 15 days of cooking and incubating, this will now be followed on Thursday by the Solar Eclipse New Moon…

…which, after all the courageous bobbling about we’ve done in our proverbial full-to-the-brims…

…gives us all the optimally-powered energetic chance to make some brand new decisions.

Time for a fresh new start?

Let’s face it.

We could definitely do with a fresh new start … n’est-ce-pas? 

(Sorry, be warned – now, after that random Matron comment earlier, I’ve totally got Carry On Films stuck in my head, and I just want to quote from one of them – which, funnily enough, actually does happen to be Carry On Matron, with Joan Sims in the maternity ward busy stuffing her face from the hospital trolley and debating whether or not to actually bother giving birth to her baby at all.

I mean, she declares in between mouthfuls and gulps…

The world’s in a shocking state!

Things certainly haven’t improved since 1972 (although, since any major springboard up in the opposite direction can only ever come about by reaching the absolute bottom first, you could say that we’ve actually been going in exactly the right direction all along).

And now, it’s simply time to wake … up. If we hadn’t quite taken stock of this before, then let’s take another look at it again – and quite plainly this time – because the hour has come …

…to take full responsibility for every last shred of what’s going on out there.

Which is particularly apt considering this Solar Eclipse in Gemini will feature a particularly strong Saturn energy – Saturn referring in part to self-control and responsibility). 

And we take responsibility by doing the Inner Work on ourselves.

These times, as they say, are prophesied

Without banging on yet again about Uranus in Taurus (Uranus being the destabilizer and the revolutionary energy coming to Taurus – that rules the likes of earth/money/values/routines); and without even mentioning Pluto in Capricorn (Pluto – death/transformation; Capricorn – structure, government, authority, control) …

…here’s something else to consider from Pema Albani:

We have been transitioning for 29 years from the fifth sun to the sixth sun. But as of Wednesday (26th May – day of the Lunar Eclipse), and according to the Mayan calendar, we are now under the sole influence of the sixth sun. Each Sun lasts 6,625 years. The fifth sun was a ‘sun of light’, which means that people only looked outside themselves for God, health, protection, spirituality, which gave authority to the patriarchal energy of control and the external illusion of the system.

The sixth sun is a different one than the 5^th sun. It’s a dark sun, which means that we will now look inward in the dark for introspection, guidance, creation, a shift towards feminine energies.

It is believed that under the lunar blood eclipse under the sign of Sagittarius, there will be a great frequency jump that will shake the control systems and government, since they can no longer sustain themselves in the new energy of the sixth sun.

In a nutshell, then: We really do have the chance to start coming back into our power again, finally, as we pass through the portal of this Solar Eclipse. 

So, the question for us all right now is this:

What new intentions are we planning to seed?

This is really key to this Solar Eclipse, because there’s really so much Gemini energy flying about right now (which is all about learning, communicating; the intellect; the mind). It’s not just the Moon we’ve got in Gemini (nor even just the Sun and Moon – since these two are always sitting next to each other on New Moons).

Far from it.

On the contrary, we’ve actually got a whopping 5 planets and the Moon’s nodes in Gemini right now – which clearly points to the whole chart being super-duper Mercurial, with an obvious emphasis on the spoken and written word, as well as thoughts and communication overall.

Mercury itself – which is also in his home-sign of Gemini right now – is sitting right next to the Sun and Moon at 20 degrees of Gemini. This puts the focus in our own hands, and encourages us to look at our thoughts and our self-talk that runs in the background without us even realizing … manifesting resonant emotions, and then the reactions that ultimately build and create our lives.

The energies are all here to help us. Gemini is a mutable, changeable sign – as is Pisces – which is, incidentally, where Jupiter and Neptune are both currently at. Such a tonne of mutable energy vibrating around us gives the general vibe we can tap into a very chameleon-like, and creative feeling – that will of course affect us on completely different levels – depending on our own natal charts, current state of evolution, and … oh yes, our willingness to change – but can ultimately really help us see things from a different point of view.

And most importantly, from a view that’s not strictly fantasist. Fantasy and dreaming are concepts ruled by Neptune, so this square we’ve got from all the planets in logical, mind-oriented Gemini to Neptune (in his own sign of Pisces, no less) is really challenging us again to look at what we are using our minds for.

Are we becoming overwhelmed and kind of drowning in a massive vat of confusion? Are we imagining things that are simply not based in Truth? Are we acting on concepts that are being put to us by various methods of communication (Gemini) – but which are based on lies and deceit (square to Neptune)?

There’s a lot of information and disinformation out there, one of my favourite astrologers Pam Gregory tells us. And, at a lower level, Neptune can create a fog. 

One way we can use Neptunian (or any) energies constructively is to simply use them consciously. So in this case, then, instead of going into our minds (Gemini) to try and decipher what is going on, and therefore becoming confused (squaring Neptune), then the invitation is simply to drop into the body.

Says Pam:

Drop into your feelings (Neptune in Pisces). Your body is like a tuning fork, to tell you what the truth is – the truth of any situation.

Disinformation has been rife, anyway

And what’s clear in this solar eclipse chart is that there’s a very strong focus on information and communication. What’s particularly interesting here is that really strong Saturn I was talking about earlier – which, by the by, recently started his journey through Uranus-ruled Aquarius.

And if Saturn is about control and regulations, one of the things that Aquarius rules is social media. Pam Gregory continues:

Since Saturn is now retrograde, this might mean more control coming in with social media – which might force and spawn many more social media platforms promising the truth (which, in typical Gemini fashion, would have many scattered divergent effects: smaller groups with greater creativity.

And let’s just add here that there’s only one planet in a fixed sign right now – and that’s Uranus (electricity, chaos) in Taurus (stability, earthy manifesting power)… Effectively, then, all anchors are off, Gregory tells us, and the energy is even more malleable… like modelling clay… with which to create our future.

The main key, though, is for us to do our Shadow Work.

You have a reason and a place

The other day, I was reading a poem

My fellow Welshie – Wizard Dariush Matloubi touches on the Divine Truth that we alone have the say for every shred of our experience. We may like to think the Universe brings us love from the outside, he writes, be it from others or experiences, or even ideas and systems (a wild and wonderful ride, as we all know – I think they call it being human, right?)…

In essence, though, love is nothing more than

a self-generated and continuous field of WOW

radiating peacefully from deep with our own chests

...where from infinite perspectives

it pulses, wobbles, waves and sparkles with itself

forever

From the level of stillness

it is, has been, and forever will be

our own choice how we experience that

A fact that very much annoys me at times.

You know, I’d told him laughingly, in response,

I think they call that ‘not wanting to take responsibility’.

Because, yes, I’ve also felt quite annoyed – and even cheated, sometimes – at the realization that life is actually all down to me… It triggers my perfectionist side; and all my gnawing fears of making a mistake.

Quite frankly, it’s been quite a tough old ride for me to accept all the magical truths my guides and allies from the plant world have given me. 

But – of course it’s going to be difficult if we’re coming from an old, tyrannical – and dying perspective.

The truth is, though, that there is no making a mistake. We came here to love, to have fun, and most importantly – to be the Creator, the Artist of our lives

Which is, furthermore, exactly how the fabulous Martha Beck envisages how our global society will transform from the old, oppressive pyramid structure of power, control and conquering (Capricorn) to one of sweetness and inclusion (The Age of Aquarius).

Because, after all, imaginations are the vehicles of inserting new code into a powerful system stuck upon pyramids of value.

And the people at the top of the pyramid – are the last ones to know what is going to happen

This will not be a revolution, this transformation. It will be a dissolution. An inclusion. And how do we bring it about?

We dissolve the rigid power structures – the fear-based, needy, hungry, violent parts of ourselves. We dissolve that into the sweetness. And we do it by going inward to the heart (Neptune in Pisces) instead of obeying the ego (many planets in Gemini). In Asia they say the mind is a wonderful servant but a terrible master, and the heart is the master that the mind should be serving. 

How does the mind serve the heart? One word: ART (Neptune in Pisces).

Actually, there are a number of ways, but art is the primary one

There are certain people who breathe in their own authenticity; they go inside and dissolve all blocks to their own clarity – and then they find a way after that inhale … to breathe out their message, their light, their energy – to more and more people, and the people around them start to dissolve and become more like that.
